Bowl Sydney Tournament was formed in 1997, by the City Of Sydney Tenpin Bowling Association to promote the sport of Tenpin Bowling in Sydney.
The Tournament is a fully-sanctioned Tournament with the Tenpin Bowling Association Ltd.
The Tournament bowls most Saturdays, starting 2pm (SHARP), every year (excluding Public holidays and NSW School Holidays) commencing its season in late January/early February and concluding late Novemeber.
The Tournament is a “travelling” Tournament, with teams representing the various tenpin bowling centres (both privately and AMF owned) in Sydney. A listing of the centres currently supporting Bowl sydney is located here.
Since its formation in 1997 approx 700 bowlers have participated in the Tournament.
Since our website’s inception (several years ago) we have had visits from the following countries : United States, Argentina, European Union, Germany, China, Ukraine, Austria, Poland, Canada, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Italy, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Russian Federation, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Belgium, Hong Kong, Japan, Egypt, Czech Republic, Romania, Spain, Latvia, South Africa, Sweden, Malaysia, Jamaica, Hungary, Netherlands, India, Brazil, Jordan, Seychelles, Thailand, Sweden, Macedonia, Chile, Israel, Mexico . . . to name a few.
