Div 1 Week 32 – Wetherill Park – 24 Sep

Leaders Campbelltown Cougars won 14-5 and extended their lead to 10½ points as 2nd place Strathfield Sandbaggers lost 12-7 to Mittagong Reapers. 3rd place Wetherill Park Guns won 12-7 while 4th place Lidcombe Lightning won 11-8 but dropped to 5th as Wetherill Park Bandits won 17-2. Lidcombe Rumble won a close game 10-9, while Fairfield Bruises scored 14 on the bye. The high game was shared by Cougars and Bandits who both scored 1072, Campbelltown Rebels 1044 followed by Bandits again 1040, Phoenix 1039, Reapers 1019, Sandbaggers 1018, Guns 1004 and Cougars again 1003. The series went to Cougars 3058, Bandits 3057 and Guns 2993.

The division bowled 2 pins over average at Tenpin City with 24 200 games and 7 600 series. Leaders Windsor Wanderers won 12-7 and extended their lead to 6 points as 2nd place Bowlarama Alleycatz lost 14-5 to Gosford Grenades and dropped to 3rd spot. Campbelltown Alleygators won 12-7 to move into 2nd spot while Lidcombe Lyrebirds retained 4th spot despite losing a close game 10-9 to Strathfield Sharks. Western Warriors won 12½-6½ and Strathfield Superstrikers won 11-8 to close out the round. The high game went to Lyrebirds 980, followed by Warriors 948 and Sharks 944. The series went to Warriors 2711, followed by Grenades 2669 and Wanderers 2647.

The division bowled ½ pin over average with 15 200 games and 4 600 series. The high game went to Tony Sutton 278, followed by Nick Frost 266, Bob Quinn 259, Chris Prince 246 & 223, Bob again 222, Matt Smith 220, reserve Rick Russell 219, Nathan Bracey and Nick again 215, Chris again 208 and Brad Cook, Bruce Worrell and Nick again 204. Leaders Strathfield Saints drew with 4th place Fairfield Dragons but retained top spot by 6 points as 2nd place Wetherill Park All Stars won 15-4. 3rd place Bowlarama Lollipops won a close game 10-9 against Lidcombe Hells Angels who moved up to 5th as Gosford Giants lost 15-4 to Windsor Bushrangers. Campbelltown Strikers won 10-9 and Windsor Wonders scored 15 on the bye. The high game went to All Stars 965, Dragons 910 and Saints 858. The series went to All Stars 2667, Dragons 2632 and Saints 2537.
